Individuals with microboards build strong and lasting relationships with family and friends who are on their board, and they make significant progress in completing activities identified on their PATH -- a powerful planning tool that can help individuals with disabilities move into a more positive and possible future.
Microboard members spend time with the individual and are a friend in ways that are natural for all of the people involved. These board members are a critical part of helping develop a plan to create and deliver personalized services and supports that meet the individual's needs. Together, they enhance the person's ability to fully participate and to have control over all areas of his/her life.
